Paint Chips
The Bane of Esprit Ownership
How to touch them up without resorting to hacksaws, sandpaper, and small thermonuclear devices. Features a review of the Mothers Paint Chip Repair product.
No matter how careful you are, there always seems to be some idiot with a rusted out trailer towing a boat on the freeway.  Well, after being forced (by traffic) to get behind one of these rolling road hazards, a big chunk of rust detached itself from said trailer and gouged one of my headlight pods. This is my attempt to repair this pod myself.  The repair is not 100%, but you have to be standing directly over it (with a magnifying glass) to tell.  This repair method makes use of a wonderful product from mothers called Paint Chip Repair.

This is the Mother's product. Highly recommended as this method calls for no use of sandpaper or other such methods (that I was a little afraid of)

If you don't have a paint chip touch up stick from Lotus, that should be your first priority. Lotus does a wonderful job matching your paint. Attempting to try to match your paint with something from "Wally's world of auto parts" or other such store is a recipe for disaster
